The extended VIP tour will take you to the normally inaccessible areas of the building. Experienced guides will explain in detail the historical context and the reason for building the bunker during two hours underground. They will show you the technologies used during the Cold War. You will be able to try out some functional technologies.

Extended VIP tour

A tour of the Přáslavice bunker is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in history and find out how Europe prepared for a potential war conflict. Fully equipped with period technology , the shelter is a fascinating witness to the past, which was a key point of communication between Berlin and Moscow.

The extended VIP tour will take you where the standard tour does not. During two hours underground , we will show unique and still functional telecommunication technologies from the second half of the last century, such as a private branch telephone exchange. We will also look at the technologies that were supposed to allow the bunker crew to function even if a nuclear war raged outside.

Decontamination inlet, decontamination airlocks

The decontamination entrance is crucial to ensure the safety and protection of people inside the bunker in the event of a nuclear or chemical attack. Its main function is to remove contaminating particles and substances from the clothing and body surfaces of people entering the bunker to prevent radioactive or toxic material from being introduced inside.

Exchange rooms and telex workplaces

Central halls and telex workplaces were of fundamental importance and were actually the reason for the construction of the entire bunker. In the event of war, they would ensure communication between the Warsaw Pact states, communication with Moscow and, of course, communication within the Czechoslovak Republic.

In several halls, telex and voice encryption and secrecy of military communications took place. Broadcasting was also controlled from here through terrestrial antenna arrays, which are located in the bunker area.

The bunker combines old military technology with super modern agricultural technology. On this floor there is a part of the vertical aquaponic farm of the Flenexa company, which can be seen during the tour.
